With the school year winding down, many teenagers excavate their lockers before that last bell. For some this means surprises underneath months of missing work and blue Takis wrappers.
As always, The Honest School Times was there.
After more than 170 days of coming to class without pencils and paper, a locker clean out reveals students had supplies all along.
"I can't believe it!" Ryder, 14, exclaimed. "I had pencils the entire time?"
First year teacher Silas expressed confusion and disbelief.
"So you're telling me they had supplies all along? The whole time?" he said, frustration growing.
"This year Ryder lost three pairs of $300 sneakers, destroyed two new iPhones, and lost three pairs of AirPods, yet never brought a pencil to class."
Wow! Jealous much?
Meanwhile, after being chronically underprepared all year, Ryder generously offered his classmates new school supplies.
"I'm a good person. If someone needs a year's worth of supplies on the last day, I'll help. Besides. I tossed my $100 backpack, so I have nothing to bring them home with."
What a philanthropist!
Meanwhile, Science teacher Mrs. Greene silently intercepted discarded supplies as donations.
“The way I see it, this year’s loaner supplies came from last year’s group and next year’s supplies will come from this group. It’s the Circle of Life.”
