Love this too. There are days, though, when it has felt like I made 15,000 decisions a day. It is exhausting.

You could literally observe in a classroom and answer your own question instead of writing a post that is using semantics to negate teachers' workloads.

I've been in the classroom since 2011. I wrote the post to reflect how the profession blindly cites a non-existent statistic.

The statistic may be nonexistent, but your own observations in your classroom should prove that this isn’t a myth if you are responsive to your students.

Thank you so much for the reply! This is fascinating to see how "exchanges" became "decisions." I wonder how many other things we take for granted lead to equally dead ends?
