📰 Student Optimistic Five-Point Quiz Will Boost Grade
“Yeah, I’ve got a ten or twenty percent, but this should help. Quizzes mean more.”
Local student Bridger hopes that acing a recent five point quiz will boost his grade.
“Yeah, I’m sort of failing right now, but this should turn things around. Quizzes mean more.”
The Honest School Times asked if his class had weighted grades.
“What’s that?” he asked, clearly puzzled.
We then asked about his grade more in-depth.
“Yeah, I’ve got like a ten percent or something. Maybe a twenty. The teacher keeps losing all of my work. He’s a terrible teacher.”
Wait! All of his work? Does he lose anyone else’s work?
“Well, yeah, I do all my work. And no. He just loses mine. He hates me.”
As our interview ended, we asked how a five point quiz might close a 100+ point gap.
“I dunno, man, but quizzes mean more. I’m sort of failing Math too, but you just gotta punch the numbers in the calculator. Trust the process.”
Amazing. Simply amazing.
